NexRx PCB render

NexRx is a high performance, professional grade software defined radio receiver for 1.8MHz to 30MHz with demodulation for all modes: AM, CW, SSB, FM, FT8, FT4, and probably others as time goes on. Its architecture is clean and simple and devoted to low harmonic distortion and high dynamic range, using two frequency-offset octature synchronous detectors in the passband, each feeding a high performance 384k sample/sec 24-bit audio codec. The onboard STM32H743 CPU handles correlation between these two to reject third and fifth order harmonics in software and math, vastly simplifying and reducing the criticality of the analog filters for each octave. The STM32 provides USB2 (480Mb/s) feed to a Linux, Android, MacOS, or even Windows PC for a rich UI based on video game style Lua code you can modify and customize yourself. We will take full advantage of the rich compute, audio, and user interaction possibilities available on any commodity computer these days.

Stay tuned for more info. First DVT (design verification test) boards are in fabrication now. We’re getting excited!
